Couch Talk with Dr. Sigrid Evelyn Nikutta 🛋️ Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Nikutta, member of the Supervisory Board at Knorr-Bremse AG and board member for freight transport at Deutsche Bahn AG, to our latest Couch Talk session at our Munich headquarters! After our Executive Board member Dr. Claudia Mayfeld opened the session with a warm welcome, the stage was set for an inspiring and engaging conversation. 💡 ✨ In the spotlight: Dr. Nikutta’s inspiring career journey - from her early ambition to become a prison psychologist, to her current position as a leader in some of Germany’s most prominent public transport organizations, including Berlin’s public transit system and DB Cargo. She discussed how curiosity, courage and a willingness to take an unconventional path have shaped her leadership style. 🎯 As the first woman in every leadership position she has held, her reflections highlighted the importance of visibility, resilience, and authenticity in leadership. Irlandaufenthalt!🇮🇪 Im Rahmen seiner Ausbildung zum Fremdsprachenindustriekaufmann verbrachte unser Azubi Timothy - vom Standort Aldersbach, einen Monat in Irland. ✈️ Neben interessanten Aufgaben wie einem Collegebesuch und einem zweiwöchigen Praktikum hatte er auch die Gelegenheit, die wunderschöne irische Landschaft, die reiche Kultur und die faszinierende Geschichte des Landes zu entdecken! 🍀🎓 In diesen vier Wochen sammelte Timothy wertvolle Erfahrungen und verbesserte dadurch auch seine Englischkenntnisse.🙌🏼 #irland #auslandsaufenthalt #ausbildung #knorrbremse #aldersbach #ecbm #galway #dublin

Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein feierten wir gemeinsam das 120-jährige Firmenjubiläum von Knorr-Bremse – ein Meilenstein, der mit einem unvergesslichen Sommerfest gewürdigt wurde. 🌞 Sommer, Sonne, Spaß – das Motto wurde voll und ganz gelebt. Kolleg:innen aus allen Bereichen mit ihren Familien kamen zusammen, um zu feiern, zu lachen und den Moment zu genießen. Ob beim entspannten Austausch, bei spannenden Aktivitäten oder einfach beim Genießen von leckerem Essen und kühlen Getränken – Das Fest bot für große und kleine Gäste ein buntes Programm voller Highlights. Die Stimmung war ausgelassen, die Musik sorgte für gute Laune, und die gemeinsamen Erinnerungen werden noch lange nachklingen. Launch Alert: KB SUMS Solution for Trailer Electronics is now available! ✔️ As one of the first system providers, we have successfully introduced our Software Update Management System (SUMS) platform to the trailer market! 🛡️ It is certified according to ISO 24089, which is seen as the ideal basis for vehicle manufacturers to become compliant with R156 on vehicle level. Our SUMS solution is integrated into our cloud-based Online Configuration Tool (OCT), providing a seamless diagnostics and update process from a single source and without manual input processes. This helps vehicle manufacturers to meet legal requirements while offering a secure, scalable, and market-ready solution for managing firmware and configuration updates for workshops and OEMs. 🚛 💡Why is this relevant? R156 requires vehicle manufacturers to have an effective Software Update Management System in place – making it the key standard for all OEMs to efficiently and securely manage vehicle software. Our certified platform supports OEMs in complying with the new regulation and it is already today live together with our OCT. ↪️ This allows our customers to familiarize themselves with the system at an early stage – well ahead of the mandatory implementation of R156 for vehicle manufacturers in July 2026. In our mobile Cybersecurity Escape Room on our family day, over 200 employees and their families explored real-world cyber threats: from phishing attacks to manipulated USB drives. Hands-on. Immersive. Team-based. But this wasn’t just about IT & Cybersecurity risks. It was about mindset and awareness. And about understanding how human behaviour impacts security.🛡️ 👉 What did we learn? ⚽ Team spirit, goals and a great atmosphere! ⚽ Yesterday’s Knorr-Bremse Football Tournament at our Munich headquarters was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, ambition, and energy! 🎉 📍On Tuesday, 120 enthusiastic players from twelve teams took to the football pitches at the “Olympiadorf” sports club, eager to compete for the coveted title. The atmosphere was electric from the first whistle to the final goal! 🥅 While the players gave their all on the pitch, spectators enjoyed the summer atmosphere, complete with free drinks and a range of tasty snacks, including ice cream, cocktails, grilled meat and fries. 🍨🍟🍹 🙌 We saw plenty of goals, thrilling matches and great team spirit! The evening was rounded off with a relaxed get-together, sharing stories and enjoying the great sense of community. 🏃♂️Back at the B2Run in Munich!🏃♂️ On Wednesday, Munich’s Olympic Park turned into a vibrant running track for over 30,000 enthusiastic participants – and right in the middle of it: around 120 dedicated Knorr-Bremse colleagues! 💪 With team spirit and great energy, they powered through the 5-kilometer course and celebrated the finish inside the legendary Olympic Stadium. Despite the poor weather conditions, everyone made it to the finish line dry. Even when it started to rain heavily later on, the good vibes just kept on flowing! 🙌 We're proud that four participants were able to join the B2Run through our associated organization Knorr-Bremse Global Care representing our long-standing partner Stiftung Menschen für Menschen . The foundation is one of our earliest project collaborators since 2006 and B2Run's official charity partner in 2025.
