In short: a stable and highly load-bearing solution for great heights was required. In cooperation with PORR Deutschland , Doka’s shoring experts created two true powerhouses using 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗞𝗶𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝟬𝟬 units with integrated assembly access via 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴. As deck substructure, tightly spaced UniKit primary and secondary beams ensured uniform load distribution and strong performance. 👷♂️🔧 Bridge construction at full power – digitally planned, efficiently executed! For the renewal of the railway bridge in Deutsch-Wagram, Doka relied on smart solutions to achieve maximum construction performance with minimal closure time: ✅ Slim shoring with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 – efficiently assembled above the tracks without impairing the clearance profile. Despite short night-time closures, the tracks remained operational during the construction phase! 🚆 ✅ 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 via 3D animation – for fast assembly work. ✅ High-speed 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 1,278 m³ in just 10.5 hours using 22 mixer trucks & 3 pumps! 💡 This is what future-oriented infrastructure construction looks like! A highlight of this complex build is the installation of the largest protection screens Doka has ever designed - engineered not only to shield the busy streets of downtown Toronto but also to create a safe environment where our teams can go above and beyond, helping our customers deliver this iconic tower on schedule. 📅 These fully enclosed, hydraulically climbed screens, suspended from massive trusses, provide a secure, weather-protected platform for uninterrupted façade installation. 🌉 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗞𝗶𝘁 To improve traffic flow and reduce congestion in the town center, a new bridge was built as part of the bypass in Waldershof (Upper Palatinate), Bavaria. The challenge: A large clear span that had to be bridged without intermediate foundations – resting only on two abutments at either end – combined with high loads to be supported by a single-web deck slab. Scharnagl Hoch- und Tiefbau relied on the shoring experts from Doka to find the right solution for the construction phase. And they made it look easy – with the new HEB 1000 secondary beams from our flexible 𝗗𝗼𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗞𝗶𝘁 engineering kit, which “came into play” for the first time on this project. The span of over 18 m could be realised safely and efficiently – without the need for intermediate supports. Shoring expert and skilled engineer Christoph Merdian personally carried out the final inspection. It’s a wrap! 🎉 For the second time, we’ve had the pleasure of taking part in the “Company School Year” project – and what an inspiring journey it’s been! Leading the way were our amazing role models from Doka, who teamed up with students from Mittelschule Aschbach to bring a fantastic idea to life: designing and building a hexagonal bench that now invites everyone at school to relax, connect, and learn. At last week’s MINTality Fair in Vienna, our role model Anja Avender and the students proudly presented their project – a true showcase of creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning. 💡🛠️ And the most rewarding moment? Hearing students say things like “I can totally see myself in a technical career!” This proves how powerful initiatives like this can be. They break down stereotypes and open up new possibilities, especially for girls, to explore careers in tech and engineering. 🛼 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 … cruising through Hamburg’s underground! At the construction site of the new U4 station Horner Geest, space is tight. The excavation pit is braced with struts, which makes crane access nearly impossible. Together with BEMO Tunnelling , we came up with a smart solution: a mobile, eight-meter-high special scaffold made of Ringlock components on an SL-1 base frame. Thanks to four heavy-duty wheels, this structure glides from one concreting section to the next – smooth, safe, and crane-free. With its extra-wide working platform and stair access to multiple levels, the solution offers full functionality even in the most confined conditions.
