A significantly inclined escalator shaft deep inside Stockholm’s bedrock sets the stage for one of the city’s most technically demanding metro structures. 🚀 As part of the expansion of the Stockholm metro by Region Stockholm, the new Nacka Station is taking shape - including Sweden’s longest escalator, approximately 100 metres long with a vertical difference of 41 metres. Together with Skanska Sverige AB, Doka supported the work inside the tunnel with a solution designed for extreme height conditions, heavy loads on slabs with overlying walls, and the absence of lifting equipment. To meet these requirements, Doka designed an SL-1 Tunnel traveller combined with Doka UniKit for the 27.3° inclined escalator shaft. This approach reflects our commitment to top performance in everything we do, with the right solution on site at the right time. ✨ Using Doka UniKit primary and secondary beams, the system was assembled horizontally outside the tunnel before the 80-tonne SL-1 Tunnel traveller was positioned at the desired angle and lowered. How do you keep ambitious timelines on track in one of Colombia’s most space-restricted urban environments? 🤔 Sun City, a modern residential tower, is rising in the dense urban fabric of Cartagena de Indias. Developed by ACTÚA DESARROLLOS S.A.S. in partnership with Urbaiberica-Urbacolombia, the project stands out for its sea-view apartments and for the complex site conditions it faces. The project faced several challenges - limited logistics space and demanding schedules, which required well-coordinated planning to keep construction on track. As Project Manager Ricardo Outten explains, “Sun City is being built under very tight space constraints. With Doka climbing systems, we are enabling fast progress and efficient logistics - despite the challenges.” 🚀 To make this possible, Doka developed a customized formwork concept for the central core. With almost 200,000 sq. ft. of premium office and retail space, this high-rise brings together complex design and demanding construction requirements. From four core cells with varying floor heights to exposed interior and perimeter beams, the structure requires customized solutions for every level. The exposed concrete core walls, along with multiple tie spacing requirements and a tight cycle schedule, make precise planning essential. 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲-𝗦𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗶 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 – 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗳𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲👷♀️🏗️ Was macht Ausbildung bei Doka so besonders? Es sind z. B. Tage wie dieser: Gemeinsam mit 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁 und 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗳𝗲𝗿 Doka-Standort München waren unsere Azubis im 3. Lehrjahr zu Gast SILOKING Mayer Maschinenbau GmbH in Tittmoning. Der Hersteller von Futtermischtechnik erweitert dort mit Unterstützung der 𝗠𝗮𝘅 𝗔𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝘂 𝗚𝗺𝗯𝗛 & 𝗖𝗼. 𝗞𝗚 seinen Standort um eine neue Produktionshalle mit Fertigung, Pulverbeschichtung, Lackieranlage, Kantine etc. – ein vielschichtiges Projekt, das zeigt, wie facettenreich Bauen ist. Bei der Baustellenführung mit 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗘𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 konnten die Azubis zunächst unsere Systeme – u. a. Traggerüst Staxo 100, Seitenschutz XP und Framax Xlife – im Einsatz erleben und sehen, wie viel Präzision in jedem Bauabschnitt steckt. Anschließend ging es vom Bau in die Produktion: 𝗪𝗲𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗻𝗵𝗼𝗳𝗲𝗿 zeigte den Weg vom Rohmaterial über das Schweißen bis zur Montage der fertigen Maschinen – ein spannender Blick über den Tellerrand, der deutlich machte, dass auch im Maschinenbau jedes Detail zählt. Warum legen wir so viel Wert auf solche "Exkursionen"? Weil wir in der Ausbildung mehr vermitteln wollen als Wissen am Schreibtisch. Smarter, safer, faster: Real-time pouring control with DokaXact Pressure in Vilnius. 🏗️ On a residential construction site in Vilnius, Lithuania, our customer UAB Projektana faced a key challenge: due to a change in the supporting structure design, the permissible fresh concrete pressure was limited to 25 kN/m². Precise control of the pouring process became essential. To address this, five DokaXact Pressure sensors were used to monitor pressure in real time - allowing the team to adjust the pouring speed accordingly and complete the job ahead of schedule. 📱 The data was accessible directly via smartphone and documented in the web portal, offering maximum flexibility and transparency on site. The project is based on a fully sustainable energy concept, with climate protection and resource efficiency consistently prioritized throughout the construction process and in the choice of solutions: To reduce the project’s carbon footprint, ZÜBLIN is using around 12.000 m³ CO₂-reduced concrete from Spenner Herkules. Since CO₂-reduced concrete takes longer to harden, Doka supports the process with the concrete monitoring solution Concremote. Using sensor technology, the early-age compressive strength is continuously tracked, enabling the efficient and safe application of CO₂-reduced concrete. Soon, Concremote will be seamlessly integrated into Doka 360, the first platform digitalizing the entire formwork process. In addition, Doka is supplying the formwork solutions for the project, including 4,500 m² of DokaXdek tables. DokaXdek is Doka’s latest slab formwork system, offering versatile applications and flexible combinations for a wide range of construction needs. A new retention basin is taking shape at Janské Lázně ski resort, Czechia. 🚀 Right below the resort’s base station, a 15,000 m³ retention basin is currently under construction. It will secure the water supply for technical snowmaking, enabling coverage of up to 6 km of slopes right at the start of the ski season. 🎿 Plus, the basin’s surface will also provide parking for 80 vehicles. The team from Stavirezek is relying on Doka Czechia’s solutions - tailored to meet the complex geometry and alpine conditions on site.
