The buggy ride was a real experience - we explored the enchanting Istrian landscapes, passed by the famous Kažuni (traditional Istrian houses), visited the village of Mandriol, enjoyed the view of the beautiful beaches and sunny coast and came across peaceful roe deer farms. For many of us, it was the first off-road adventure - and certainly not the last! The second part of the program took place in the Jangalooz adrenaline park, where we tried our hand at challenges that brought the right dose of fun, sport, adrenaline and laughter. This team building was a real opportunity to connect, grow and build trust, which is reflected in every segment of our business. This experience further strengthened our team spirit, and we are left with memories that we will remember for a long time. Because when we work together, we grow together! 💙

Each container held a fully packed mobile house with impressive dimensions: 📦 𝗦𝗶𝘇𝗲: 11.5 x 3.3 x 3.3 m ⚖️ 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: approx. 9.5 tons 🔧 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱: offloading by crane from 40’ flat rack containers directly onto semi trucks. Thanks to the smooth coordination with our trusted partners, we planned every step – from customs clearance and offloading at Port of Gdańsk to special transport under road permits all the way to Velaty, Slovakia. But this controversial material is not biodegradable, and most of it will never truly disappear. Plastic particles contaminate soil and water, harm animals, and kill marine life. 🔬 Scientists say there is currently more microplastic in the ocean than stars in the entire Milky Way! 🌊 Around 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean each year – adding to the roughly 150 million tons already there. 🏭 Since plastic became widely used in the 1950s, about 8.3 billion tons have been produced – and virtually every piece ever made still exists in some form (except for the small amount that has been incinerated). ♻️ 91% of plastic waste isn't recycled. This article features another very important step to reduce waste at work (and at home): 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞! At cargo-partner we always aim to separate our waste according to local recycling rules. But there are also other ways. For example, we donate old equipment (PC, forklifts, e.g.) for charity as there are numerous worthwhile initiatives to support. On the other hand we often recycle cardboard in our warehouses and replace air cushions and Styrofoam with shredded paper – this is already a common practice at many cargo-partner warehouses all over the world. Choose wisely and always remember: The most environment-friendly product is the one you don’t buy. Think before you get it and ask yourself if you really need a certain product – if yes, try to go for high-quality items made to last. #GlobalSustainabilityWeek
