Honoured to have been part of the Austrian trade delegation to India and deeply proud to represent Austria at such an important moment in the growing partnership between Austria and India. It was a true pleasure and privilege to meet Austria’s Federal Chancellor Christian Stocker , Austrian Trade Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer , Austrian Trade Commissioner to India Hans-Jörg Hörtnagl , Ambassador of Austria to India Dr. Robert Zischg and Florian Frauscher, Director General of Economic Affairs, Innovation, and International Policy at the Austrian Ministry of Economy & Tourism and Labor during this important mission. The Mumbai leg of the visit was especially meaningful, with high-level engagements across infrastructure, investment, mobility, and future-ready transport solutions. It was a privilege to witness the leadership and vision shaping Maharashtra’s development, including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis , Kaustubh Dhavse , Chief Advisor (Investments & Strategy) to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee IAS , Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA and Dr. Shankar Deshpande, Chief, Town & Country Planning, MMRDA . Our discussions with MMRDA and Mumbai officals and other senior stakeholders reinforced the scale of opportunity ahead for intelligent transport systems, safer roads, and smarter traffic management across India. These conversations reflected the ambition, speed, and forward-looking approach that are defining Maharashtra’s growth story. I am especially proud that Kapsch TrafficCom AG is helping lead the pathway for the future of road safety and transport technology in India. We are also pleased to announce the opening of Kapsch India Private Limited, as we entrench ourselves firmly in the growth and development of India.
