🌿 Big news from the world of sustainable fashion: Designer Amy Powney , widely known as the Creative Director of Mother of Pearl, has just launched the debut collection of her new label, AKYN . Not only a proud brand ambassador for TENCEL™ fibers, she is once again pushing boundaries: Focusing on natural and botanic materials, Amy shares how TENCEL™ fibers play a key role in her designs: 🗨️ "I mostly use TENCEL™ to replace silk like fabrics and at AKYN we launched TENCEL™ Luxe blends too to bring more shine. We also use it in some jersey products which add drape to cotton products and we also blend it with super fine wool for our tailoring to avoid the mix of synthetics which is often used in wool products to reduce the price. TENCEL™ is one of our most widely used fibers." With her innovative use of TENCEL™ fibers Amy Powney showcases what’s possible when material science and design integrity come together. Curious now? Check out the styles from AKYN’s first collection in the photo album below 👇 #lenzing #tencel #fashion

🌍 The Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2025, hosted by Global Fashion Agenda , has just come to a close. Together with global leaders and changemakers, we explored some of the most pressing challenges facing the fashion and textile industry today. This year’s theme, “Barriers and Bridges,” highlighted the importance of collective action to drive meaningful progress across the sector. As part of the panel discussion “Tracking Progress: Operationalising Circularity,” Lenzing’s Krishna Manda (he/him) , VP Corporate Sustainability, shared valuable insights into the challenges of scaling circularity - especially when it comes to recycled fiber content: "Many circularity pilots are indeed stuck and not scaling up, this is especially true for adoption of textile to textile chemically recycled fibers. Without clear demand and acceptance of fibers with lower recycled content (10-20%), these pilots cannot scale to widespread adoption in the industry.” And that is exactly what Lenzing is committed to - advancing circularity through solutions like ECOVERO™ x REFIBRA™ viscose fibers, which contain 20% recycled content from pre- and post-consumer cotton textile waste. We have set clear goals to increase the recycled content of our fibers in step with growing industry adoption and supportive regulatory frameworks. 👏 Big shoutout to everyone who contributed to this important conversation! #lenzing #sustainability #globalfashionsummit
