Times are busy right now across our global organisation, especially with the ongoing integration of Schenker. Now, more than ever, it’s important that we stay close to our customers and ensure that we continue to meet their evolving needs. That’s why this week’s customer event in Luxembourg was so special. Here, we invited a number of our customers to our facilities at Luxembourg Airport, so we could step away from day-to-day operations and dive into the many opportunities that are currently present in the world of air freight. An important focus for the event was how DSV – by joining forces with Schenker – can now support our customers to an even greater extent and add more value to their operations and supply chains through better operational control, reduced transit times and access to a larger, higher-quality capacity network. A key highlight at the event was the introduction of our upgraded Air Direct network, which has also been bolstered by the integration of Schenker. It means a lot to us to engage with the people who use our solutions every day, and we would like to thank everyone who attended the event for some great dialogues. These interactions are a clear reminder of why we do what we do.
We’re strengthening our logistics operations in the U.S.! This week, our teams marked the start of an exciting new chapter with the groundbreaking of our upcoming logistics facility in the Chicago metro area. Once completed, the site will offer more than 72,000 square metres of warehousing space, equipped with advanced e-commerce distribution and value-added services, which will enable us to deliver even more comprehensive services to our customers – particularly those with order fulfillment operations. Josh Summers, President of DSV North America, said: “Today is a big day for DSV, with the continued growth of our business as showcased by this state-of-the-art facility. This warehouse is ideally located for distribution and fulfillment across the U.S., which will solidify our ability to serve clients in the industrial and consumer products sectors in particular.”
Major milestone achieved: DSV and Schenker colleagues have officially joined forces in the first two countries! After months of close collaboration and thorough preparations, we’re proud to announce that the local integration of Schenker has officially kicked off – starting with Denmark and the United States, where the integration will happen sequentially. This means that the legal integration has now taken place, and our DSV and Schenker teams in the two countries can begin working together under the DSV brand. As a result, we can truly unlock the potential of our combined strengths, offering even greater value, expertise and services to our customers. Many local integrations still lie ahead, with more than 80 additional countries set to unite under the DSV banner in the coming time. But with this milestone, we have entered the next stage of the Schenker integration, which is cause for celebration. And celebrate is exactly what our teams did! We’re now more than halfway through the year, and this morning, we released our H1 2025 Interim Financial Report, disclosing stable financial performance in a challenging market. Big things are happening for our teams in Singapore this week, as we just inaugurated our brand-new warehouse in Tampines LogisPark. Covering more than 55,000 square metres, the RedLion2 logistics facility is purpose-built for the semiconductor industry and features intelligent automation such as AutoStore, shuttle sorters and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) across four seamlessly connected levels. The site also contains a dedicated Innovation Sandbox, providing a space to co-create with local SMEs, academic institutions and other partners to test emerging technologies and upskill talent. In addition, RedLion2 is Singapore’s largest solar-powered logistics hub, equipped with 4,455 solar panels and capable of generating 15% more renewable energy than the warehouse consumes. It is also the first facility in Singapore to achieve the prestigious Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Positive Energy Building (PEB) certificate. Among the participants at the site inauguration were Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister of Manpower and Minister-in-charge of Energy and Science & Technology, Albert–Derk Bruin, CEO of our Contract Logistics division, and Catherine Soo, Regional CEO for our Contract Logistics division in APAC. More than 213 million children in 146 countries and territories will require humanitarian assistance in 2025, UNICEF estimates. These days, our headquarters in Denmark is buzzing with activity, as around 275 DSV executives from across the globe have gathered to meet each other and be inspired, share ideas and discuss the direction of our company. This is the first time our new, joint team of executive leaders is meeting, less than two months after the completion of the acquisition of Schenker. A milestone in itself. Group CEO Jens H. This year’s SAPICS conference once again proved to be a valuable platform for industry leaders, professionals, partners, and students to come together and explore the future of supply chain management. Natalie Segers, MD for the Air & Sea division in Belgium: “This energy-neutral warehouse, built to the highest environmental standards, represents a major milestone in our long-term commitment to the Belgian market and our strategic positioning at the heart of European logistics.” Importantly, 50% of the warehouse is dedicated to Healthcare logistics, offering fully compliant, temperature-controlled environments (2°-8°C, 15°-25°C and -20°C) for pharmaceuticals and life science products. More than 213 million children in 146 countries and territories will require humanitarian assistance in 2025, UNICEF estimates. At DSV, we are proud to expand our existing strategic partnership with UNICEF to support this important work.
