How can an iconic drink be modernised without losing its heritage? For Cockta, packaging played a decisive role there. When they decided to reposition the brand in 2018, the goal was clear: reconnect with a younger generation while staying true to its heritage. ✨ Together with Atlantic Grupa , Vetropack developed a distinctive 275-ml lightweight glass bottle designed especially for the HoReCa channel. Inspired by ingredients from the original recipe, the bottle features: ✔️ a rosehip-inspired neck ✔️ an orange peel-like surface texture ✔️ the year 1953 embossed on glass ✔️ a label in the original 1953 colours of yellow and blue ✔️ a dedicated label area requiring specialised bottle and labelling expertise Today, Cockta is enjoyed in restaurants, cafés and bars across 24 markets worldwide. 🌍 Read the full success story. 👇

How does packaging affect flavour? More than you might realise. 💡 Flavour stability is not just a challenge of formulation; it is also a packaging decision. Glass is scientifically proven to preserve product integrity thanks to its fundamental material properties: 1️⃣ Inertness Glass is chemically stable and non-reactive. It does not interact with food or beverages, ensuring that the flavour, aroma and composition remain unaltered over time. 2️⃣ No chemical migration Unlike multilayer packaging, glass requires no internal coatings or synthetic barriers. This eliminates the risk of unwanted substances migrating into the product. 3️⃣ Impermeability As a non-porous, single-layer material, glass forms an absolute barrier against oxygen and external contaminants. This protects the sensory characteristics and nutritional value of the product throughout its shelf life. Read more at https://bit.ly/4aVAJ3q FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation

From tomato-based sauces and ketchups to different culinary specialities, sauces require packaging that preserves flavour and consistency while ensuring safe and smooth handling from filling lines and transport to everyday use in our homes. Why glass is a natural choice for sauce packaging: 🧊 Glass does not react with acids, oils or spices. Flavour stability, aroma and colour remain exactly as developed. 🔥 Glass enables sterilisation processes that ensure long shelf life without the need for preservatives. 🫙 Wide openings and ergonomic shapes allow efficient filling, secure reclosing and practical handling in all environments. Lighter, but more stable; fewer resources, but higher performance: packaging manufacturers are increasingly confronted with demands like these. 🫴 📈 Our research and development team spent years working on an innovative, sustainable solution. The result? The first reusable bottle made of strengthened lightweight glass, named Rezon, with tangible ecological and economic benefits. 🎖️ What does Rezon offer? ✔️ Bottles that are up to 30 per cent lighter than regular reusable bottles. ✔️ High durability and a long lifespan. ✔️ Reduced emissions and logistics costs. And this is just the beginning! Our goal is to make Rezon solutions weigh the same as a one-way bottle. This year, almost 100 Vetropack colleagues took part in an online AI training journey from AI Business School, that was offered by the company and delivered by the AI Business School. So far, some of these colleagues have completed the AI Expert and Master level training. 👏 People from different countries and job roles learned how AI could support their everyday work. Building on this, our IT and Digitisation department organised a two-day internal hackathon focused on collaboration across teams. 💡 As part of the challenge, participants were asked to sketch practical and innovative solutions using artificial intelligence. The teams presented various ideas, including automated travel reporting and improved market insight tools. These outcomes demonstrate that small joint experiments can be the beginning of positive, practical improvements. Moreover, the hackathon demonstrates the importance and value of collaboration and learning. 🙌

Teambuilding = better collaboration and stronger company culture 💪 And what would such an event be without goulash? 🥘 A traditional dish rooted both in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a dish inseparably linked to celebrations, friendly gatherings, and good cheer. That’s why goulash has become the symbol of our Summer Goulash Party. Following last year's pilot event in Kyjov, we held the event there again this year, as well as in Nemšová. Once more, it proved that the key to successful team building is simple: good food, music and a friendly atmosphere. 👉 When people meet and connect in an informal setting, it becomes easier for them to communicate and collaborate at work. Such gatherings are therefore an important part of building company culture and strengthening team spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us – we're already looking forward to the next edition 🚀

♻️ The journey continues: What happens after your glass is collected for recycling? In Part 2 of our series with FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation , developed for the Friends of Glass platform, we go deeper into the transformation process. Once sorted and cleaned, the glass enters the furnace – where raw materials and recycled glass (cullet) are mixed and melted at a staggering 1500°C. 🔥 This is where the magic of circularity truly begins.

𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 As already forecast at the start of the year, the first six months of fiscal 2025 delivered hardly any noticeable improvements for the Vetropack Group as compared to the equally weak second half of 2024. With net sales from goods and services of CHF 412.7 million (prior year: CHF 444.9 million), the Group posted a year-on-year downturn of 7.2 percent (–5.2 percent after adjusting for currency effects). Although we are seeing some degree of stabilisation in our core markets, it is still too early to talk about a general recovery. In view of this, we do not anticipate growth in the second half of the year either; however, we do expect consolidated profit for 2025 as a whole to exceed the previous year’s level. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ekHcA846 Semi-annual report 2025: Innovation At Vetropack, we deliver innovative glass packaging – reliable, sustainable, and customer-centric.
