Today, we opened this year’s Vetropack Group Conference in Milan – an important moment for bringing together our management teams from Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Italy, Moldova and Romania to reflect on our current position and future direction. In challenging times for our industry, it is more important than ever to stay connected and collaborative. This week gives us the opportunity to share our perspectives, learn from each other, and ensure that we move forward with a shared understanding. 🤝🎯 As part of the programme, the team visited our newest plant in Boffalora sopra Ticino, which gave them the chance to experience the production environment first-hand and connect strategic discussions with the reality of day-to-day operations on the factory floor. Over the next few days, we will continue our discussions on important topics such as customer-centricity, sustainability, and our EVP. These discussions encourage intercultural collaboration and reinforce the diverse corporate culture that defines Vetropack. ✨ #vetropack #StrategyMeeting #leadership #collaboration

Teambuilding = better collaboration and stronger company culture 💪 And what would such an event be without goulash? 🥘 A traditional dish rooted both in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a dish inseparably linked to celebrations, friendly gatherings, and good cheer. That’s why goulash has become the symbol of our Summer Goulash Party. Following last year's pilot event in Kyjov, we held the event there again this year, as well as in Nemšová. Once more, it proved that the key to successful team building is simple: good food, music and a friendly atmosphere. 👉 When people meet and connect in an informal setting, it becomes easier for them to communicate and collaborate at work. Such gatherings are therefore an important part of building company culture and strengthening team spirit. Thank you to everyone who joined us – we're already looking forward to the next edition 🚀

♻️ The journey continues: What happens after your glass is collected for recycling? In Part 2 of our series with FEVE – the European Container Glass Federation , developed for the Friends of Glass platform, we go deeper into the transformation process. Once sorted and cleaned, the glass enters the furnace – where raw materials and recycled glass (cullet) are mixed and melted at a staggering 1500°C. 🔥 This is where the magic of circularity truly begins.

The latest edition of our #vetrotime magazine features a deep dive into the Zero CO₂ project led by International Partners in Glass Research (IPGR) e.V. Together with our CTO Guido Stebner , Chairman of IPGR, and many partners across the industry, we are exploring how glass packaging can be produced in a carbon-neutral way. From testing CO₂-free raw materials and alternative melting technologies to rethinking furnace design, the project shows how collaboration between research, industry and engineering is driving real progress towards a sustainable future for glass. 🇸🇰 Constitution Day of the Slovak Republic 🎉 Today, Slovakia celebrates 33 years since the Constitution of the Slovak Republic was adopted on 1 September 1992. It reflects the core values of Slovak society: respect for freedom, citizens’ rights, justice, and democracy. These principles guide the country and help shape a fair and open society. Constitution Day is a chance to think about these values, to appreciate the principles that guide the country, and to encourage everyone to preserve them for future generations. May your day be filled with joy and national pride. Happy Constitution Day! ⚖️ 💙

𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 As already forecast at the start of the year, the first six months of fiscal 2025 delivered hardly any noticeable improvements for the Vetropack Group as compared to the equally weak second half of 2024. With net sales from goods and services of CHF 412.7 million (prior year: CHF 444.9 million), the Group posted a year-on-year downturn of 7.2 percent (–5.2 percent after adjusting for currency effects). Although we are seeing some degree of stabilisation in our core markets, it is still too early to talk about a general recovery. In view of this, we do not anticipate growth in the second half of the year either; however, we do expect consolidated profit for 2025 as a whole to exceed the previous year’s level. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ekHcA846 Semi-annual report 2025: Innovation At Vetropack, we deliver innovative glass packaging – reliable, sustainable, and customer-centric. Day after day, we bring innovation to life with our cutting-edge production technologies, smart designs, and holistic solutions. Thatʼs how weʼre working to develop tomorrowʼs packaging solutions today: efficiently, responsibly – and always in eye-level dialogue with our customers.

🔥Every new glass bottle begins its life as a droplet of hot, molten glass known as a gob.🔥 This is cut from a continuous stream of molten glass, with such precision that the weight of each gob is the same. ⚖️ 👉 This ensures that every bottle, whether for wine, beer or mineral water, has the same weight and volume. Although the process may look simple, it actually involves a perfect balance of science, engineering and craftsmanship. In just a few seconds, the glowing gob is transformed into a brand-new bottle, identical to those before and after it. 💯 Watch how consistency and quality are created, one drop at a time...

Many packaging materials – like plastics and cartons – are difficult to sort, costly to process, or often too contaminated to reuse. Glass is different. In 2023, 80.8% of all glass packaging was collected for recycling across Europe – a record-breaking figure and a strong step toward a circular economy. Once collected, glass is melted and turned back into new bottles and jars. This cycle can repeat endlessly – without loss of quality. At Vetropack, we are proud to contribute to this loop by producing packaging that is safe, reliable, and truly circular. 👉 Want to learn more about the myths and truths around glass packaging – from recyclability and safety to lightweighting and raw materials? 💫 Finding and letting shine the “Little Thing” that makes the place we live better. That’s the main idea behind our “Little Things Around Us” grant programme, which has been running for nine years in the Czech Republic and six years in Slovakia. Residents of towns and villages near our glassworks – Vetropack Moravia Glass (CZ) and Vetropack Nemšová (SK) – once again had the opportunity this year to submit their projects (so-called Little Things) and apply for a grant of CZK 10,000 / EUR 500 to bring them to life. A 'Little Thing' could be a place, natural beauty or unique architecture, or a modest-seeming volunteer activity with the potential to make our living environment more pleasant, better or more beautiful. What makes this programme special is that it brings together passionate individuals willing to dedicate their time and energy to beautifying their surroundings or benefiting their community. This year, a total of 11 projects will be supported (6 in the Czech Republic and 5 in Slovakia): 🇨🇿 Mobile fire pit for children 🇨🇿 Children’s garden house 🇨🇿 Wardrobes for children from a creative workshop 🇨🇿 Communication, experience, being together: team building for little “firefighters” 🇨🇿 Seating under a spruce tree to relax 🇨🇿 Autumn Beetle Lulling: an educational programme for children 🇸🇰 Renovation of the tourist shelter in Ľuborčianska Valley 🇸🇰 Sensory path and educational zone in the school garden of St. Gabriel’s Kindergarten 🇸🇰 Beautification of the concrete fence with children’s paintings 🇸🇰 Seating under the shelter and raised wooden seating in J. Lacu Park 🇸🇰 Summer treasure hunt "Kešky MASky" (MAS Vršatec) The ceremonial handover of symbolic cheques to the winners took place on 9 July in Nemšová and on 13 August 2025 in Kyjov. Congratulations to all the winners, and we wish you much success in bringing your projects to life! 👏
