Exploring science in action at Hinton 🌲🔬 Around 40 chemistry students from the The University of British Columbia , Vancouver had the chance to step inside Hinton’s pulp operations. From wood chips to finished unbleached Kraft pulp, the visit showed the full journey of sustainable production. The exchange was more than a mill tour, it was an opportunity to share expertise, fuel curiosity, and connect with the next generation of bright minds shaping the future of the pulp & paper industry. A big thank you to the students and faculty who joined us. Even when packaging is filled with paper cuttings, bubble wrap or air cushions, it is still considered empty space under the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
